NEW - 20 Teachers' Pocketbooks on DVD

The Teachers' Top Twenty DVD carries 20 of the most popular Teachers' Pocketbooks in digital format. It's suitable for Macs and PCs but please note that the DVD is a one-user-at-a-time resource in that you need the disc in your disc drive to be able to read the e-books. (If you want to upload digital Pocketbooks to a VLE, see below.)

You may have missed...
... the Questioning Technique Pocketbook by Gorden Pope. Published earlier this year, it's a great read and packed full of practical, evidence-based strategies to import into your classroom.

Eating disorders on the rise
According to research led by UCL's Institute of Child Health, cases of eating disorders in men and boys have increased by 27% since 2000 and by 15% in the general population. The Eating Disorders Pocketbook is written for a school context. It offers teachers and other school staff advice about supporting students who have eating disorders.

Four finalists

Congratulations to the authors of four Teachers' Pocketbooks on reaching the finals of the prestigious Education Resources Awards. Well done to Pooky Knightsmith, Eating Disorders Pocketbook (Best Educational Book); Caroline Bentley-Davies, Outstanding Lessons Pocketbook (Best non-IT Secondary Resource); Alice Washbourne, EAL Pocketbook and Afroza Talukdar, Dypraxia/DCD Pocketbook, both shortlisted for best non-ICT SEN resource.

Pocketbooks on your VLE
If you are interested in uploading the full Teachers' Pocketbooks library (currently 40 books) to your VLE as a fantastic CPD resource, our multi-user licence - available on an annual subscription - entitles you to do just that. It's proving popular with schools, colleges and training organisations. For further details, please telephone us or email Ros giving an indication of how many users you would like to have access to the digital library.

Greet them with a grin
